Pecan Pie Energy Balls

  • In advance: Roast the pecans 25 minutes in advance (steps1-4)
  • Total time: 10 minutes
  • Servings: 8 balls


  • 100 g pecans
  • 130 g pitted dates (about 16)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of ginger powder
  • Pinch of salt


  • Preheat the oven to 175 ̊C (fan forced).
  • Spread the pecans on a baking tray.
  • Roast in the oven for about 10 mins, stirring them once in between
  • Allow to cool.
  • In a food processor, chop the dates into pieces.
  • Add the roasted pecans and other ingredients.
  • Process the whole mixture for approximately 3 minutes until well combined.
  • Roll the mixture into balls. (if they are quite moist, you might want to squeeze them a bit to get the liquid out)
  • Enjoy directly or store in the refrigerator.
